Henhouse Visits
2011 Date: April 23

The henhouse is open to visitors for the annual henhouse visit program.  Children and other visitors are able to meet newly hatched chicks, collect eggs from nestboxes, and learn how to candle and grade eggs.

The program runs from 10:00am until 4:00pm.  There is no charge to participate, but collectors will have the option of "paying" for their eggs by helping farmers grind and mix chicken feed.

Food and drinks for lunch and snacks will be available in the Visitor Center during the day.

Children's craft program: Window Egg
Place: On a walk-in basis (Groups of eight or more must pre-register)
Time: 11:00am to 3:00pm
Approximate time to complete project: 20 minutes
Materials fee: $2.00
